Garrett was born and raised in southern New Hampshire, and is a graduate of Nashua High School South. He initially attended Quinnipiac University but was soon drawn to Liberty University in the middle of his sophomore year by his (now) wife, Lauren. After graduating with two bachelor’s degrees (Business Marketing and Graphic Design), Garrett had a successful corporate career in graphic design for over a decade, although always feeling a pull toward finding a way to use his education and skills for the Lord. Working for the Church runs deeps for the Rockafellows as they have family members employed in various ministry roles, including Garrett’s grandfather who planted and pastored a number of churches in ME and Southern NH - one of which is where Garrett and Lauren met and grew up! Garrett and Lauren have two amazing daughters who they are homeschooling, Adelyn and Meredith, a standard poodle named Josie, and a constantly changing collection of livestock which will always likely include a bunch of chickens. Garrett is an avid DIYer which his wife affectionately refers to as being a “YouTube professional”… there isn’t much that Garrett wouldn’t be willing to tackle in a project. When he’s not swinging a hammer or pushing pixels around on his computer, Garrett likes to be outdoors-mountain biking, camping, fishing, playing disc golf, enjoying music and movies, going to concerts and just spending time with his family. Reaching the local community with Christ’s love and the good news of the Gospel is a priority to Garrett and his family. They are so excited that God has opened this door for them to serve at Crossway!
