Tim was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and Erie, PA before becoming a New Englander upon a family move during the summer before junior high school. Tim met Joan in college, they fell in love and were married in 1983. Tim worked in the business world for 22 years, during which time he and Joan became the parents of two wonderful sons, Pete and Joe. Their family journey took an unexpected turn when their young sons were diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 1989. God deepened their faith in significant ways as they experienced the joys and challenges of raising two sons affected by disability. Tim answered God’s call to full-time ministry when he joined the staff team at Crossway in 2004, where he served in a variety of pastoral roles. In 2017, Tim transitioned to Joni and Friends, a global disability ministry, where he served for several years before returning to the pastoral staff at Crossway in 2020. Tim and Joan’s greatest blessings were raising their amazing sons, Pete and Joe, who are now with Jesus. They enjoy walking, hiking, biking and sharing the love and hope of Jesus.
